Creams, the best components  and  practice

I have now proved that I  FORMULATE and BUILD honest natural creams to the  CRITERIA OF THE    EUROPEAN PHARMACOPOEIA FOR TOPICAL PRODUCTS (PET TMPh1), with passion and pride

The thinking behind getting the creams tested to the highest levels was two-fold.

Firstly to prove that creams can pass testing at a high level without a plethora of chemicals normally used by the big players, mainly used to stop the product from going off + also give a good shelf life. One of the hardest things to do , is to stop  moulds(yeast is the real pain) growing under testing, they are natures  way of breaking  down matter here on earth. That was one of the hardest things to do naturally , but is possible when you start thinking- I will succeed.

Secondly, getting back to making to making products in an honest ethical manner for our clients that are the safest that we can build + do what they say on the label,  without hype or the profit, being the primary objective.       We have been building products for 15 +, but remember that  there will always be improvements caused by knowledge and change caused by time.

  • The best creams are made with very good quality oils, waxes , herbs and other ingredients, makes a cream that is a pleasure to use and is absorbed readily into your skin . This is achieved by the cream maker having an innate understanding of balance , quality and passion to making  the best possible.
  • When you work and develop creams for others, they often ask how you did it so well . I tell them that it comes  firstly from passion  +  wanting to work  to the highest standards.

Some of the grade 1 and organic oils we can use to make creams are;- avocado, castor, flax, sweet almond, walnut, safflower, borage, shea nut, soya, hemp, watermelon, red palm oil, olive, sesame, baobab, jojoba, wheat germ, manketti, marula, yangu and papaya (each oil has its different use and application, which can be used for skin types) + herb infused oils to maximise the herbs percentage input in creams.

  • The use of Aromatic waters are another way of maximising  the actives in a cream base, by adding the A/W  instead of plain water  the active percentage is increased.

The Waxes that we can use are; bees wax, cocoa butter, coconut solids plus fractions, shea-nut+ fractions , palm waxes + fractions + red palm  waxes and olive fractions, and soya.(Herbs can be infused into the waxes to increase the active percentage).
